EFR Instructor Course

Emergency First Response

Is one of the fastest developing international organizations in the scope of first-aid trainings.

Emergency First Response courses hold international recognition. Emergency First Response is based on over 48 years of experience in instructor courses development, training materials and educational programmes, which have the scope of first aid. EFR courses rely on guidelines of ILCOR committee (International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation) that include worldwide known organizations like: AHA (American Heart Association), ERC (European Resuscitation Committee), ARC (Australian Resuscitation Committee) and other worldwide acknowledged. EFR courses are recommended among others by PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors), as well as acknowledged in several countries as courses essential to do some jobs. They have international character and it is not required to validate them abroad.

EFR Instructor Course

Is based on accomplished skills of its participants in the scope of basic life support and focuses mainly on the development of instructional skills to enable them to relay their knowledge to others. The Instructor Course provides the training which is necessary to conducting the following courses:

Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR):

Teaches participants how to react in life risk situations. The course concentrates on basic health care through combination of theoretical knowledge, practical skills development and realistic scenarios.

Secondary Care (First Aid):

Includes the skills of reacting in the case of injuries or illnesses, which are not direct threat to life, e.g. severe allergic reactions, asthma, burns, diabetic problems, sprains and fractures, eye injury, hypothermia, insects bites, etc.

Care for Children:

Includes first aid to injured or ill children between 1 and 8, as well as to infants, incorporating into it the differences from adults. The programme also embraces emotional aspects of emergency care of children, as well as preventing injuries and illnesses.

CPR & AED

The training teaches basic rules of resuscitation and introducing and using the external automatized defibrillation (AED) in emergency condition.

The Instructor Course includes issues connected with the assumptions scheduled in these EFR trainings, involving the instruction on how they should be taught by an instructor. During the course participants will learn as well  how to motivate their trainees to learn, how to assess the knowledge and how to realize training scenarios. Participants also receive the knowledge useful at EFR courses marketing.

Preliminary requirements:
  • The certificate of accomplishing EFR Primary/Secondary Care or equivalent which is not older than 2 years,

  • Being more than 18 years old

Process:

About 2 weeks before an arranged course participants receive self-study manuals and then they meet an instructor at the course.
